# goop kitchen

> goop kitchen is a chef-driven, delivery-first restaurant concept launched in 2021 by
> Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand, goop, with 20 locations in California and New York
> City. It is a takeout and delivery kitchen, not a sit-down restaurant. Parent: goop

## How to order

- Handoff modes: delivery, and pickup (in-store or curbside). Orders can be placed for
  the next available time or ahead.
- Nearly all locations have a kiosk where guests can walk in and place a pickup order.
- Delivery is also available through Uber Eats, Postmates and DoorDash. Issues with those
  orders are handled by the delivery platform, not by goop kitchen.
- Delivery radius varies by location and has been reduced in some areas. Pickup is
  offered at all locations.

## The menu

- Prices and item availability vary by location. Check the location's own menu.
- TODO: signature items and a representative price range (the menu is loaded per
  location from the ordering API and is not in the page copy).
- Oils: "We're proudly seed oil-free. In our kitchens we use algae oil, extra-virgin
  olive oil, coconut oil, sesame oil, and avocado oil."
- Sweeteners: "Our current sweeteners include honey, maple syrup, and coconut sugar."
- Sauces and marinades "are made without processed sugars, gluten, dairy, peanuts, or
  preservatives."
- Proteins: "organic, free-range chicken, and salmon from the fjords of Norway,
  certified by Best Aquaculture Practices, Global G.A.P., and ASC."
- Gluten, in the brand's words: "we do not bring gluten into our kitchens but also do
  not claim to be Celiac friendly." Wraps: "Our wraps are in fact gluten-free."

## What we do not do

- No reservations and no table service. goop kitchen is delivery and pickup only.
  Self-service outdoor patio tables exist at Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and South Bay.
- Orders cannot be changed or added to once submitted. Email help@goopkitchen.com to
  cancel and reorder.
- Not Celiac-safe, per the brand (see The menu).
- Catering is drop-off only, from select Los Angeles and Orange County locations, and is
  arranged through an inquiry form rather than ordered online.

## Locations & hours

- 20 locations. California: Los Angeles area, Orange County (Costa Mesa), San Diego,
  and the San Francisco Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Sunnyvale).
  New York City: Manhattan and Brooklyn.
- Many locations operate inside food halls or shared kitchens (for example Colony,
  DoorDash Kitchens, CloudKitchens, PICNIC). Pickup check-in varies by site.
