This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by us, including on the goop Kitchen website located at www.goopkitchen.com (the “Website(s)), on our goop Kitchen mobile applications (the “App(s)”), and any other online services or programs owned or operated by us where this Privacy Policy is posted or linked. To make this Privacy Policy easier to read, our Websites, Apps, and other offerings are collectively called “Service(s).”
Employees and Job Applicants. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the personal information we collect from employees, contractors, job applicants, owners, directors or officers of the goop Kitchen. If you are applying for a job with us, please see our Applicant and Worker Privacy Notice.
Third-Party Links. The Services may contain links to other websites/applications and other websites/applications may reference or link to our Services. These third-party services are not controlled by us. We encourage our users to read the privacy policies of each website and application with which they interact. We do not endorse, screen or approve, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices or content of such other websites or applications. 2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The categories of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us, our Services, and the requirements of applicable law. The definition of personal information may depend on the applicable law based on your place of residence or physical location, but for purposes of this Privacy Policy, personal information generally is any information that identifies or makes a unique individual identifiable. Cookies, Pixel Tags/Web Beacons, and Other Technologies. We, as well as third parties that provide content, advertising, or other functionality on our Services, may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other technologies (“Technologies”) to automatically collect information through your use of our Services.
Cookies. Cookies are small text files placed in device browsers that store preferences and facilitate and enhance your experience.
Pixel Tags/Web Beacons. A pixel tag (also known as a web beacon) is a piece of code embedded in our Services that collects information about engagement on our Services. C. Information Collected from Other Sources
We may obtain information about you from other sources, including through third-party services and organizations. Please note that “unsubscribe” requests may not take effect immediately and may take a reasonable amount of time to receive, process, and apply, during which time your information shall remain subject to this Privacy Policy. Additionally, you should be aware that any information provided to third-parties prior to your election to unsubscribe will not be retrieved or rescinded, unless required by applicable law.
D. Legal and Compliance

Your Privacy Choices. The privacy choices you may have about your personal information are determined by applicable law and are described below.
Email and Telephone Communications. If you receive an email from us and would prefer not to, you can use the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the email to opt out of receiving future emails. Note that you will continue to receive transaction-related emails regarding products or Services you have requested. We may also send you certain non-promotional communications regarding us and our Services, and you will not be able to opt out of those communications (e.g., communications regarding our Services or updates to our Terms or this Privacy Policy). We process requests to be placed on do-not-mail, do-not-phone, and do-not-contact lists as required by applicable law.
Text Messages. You may opt out of receiving text messages from us by following the instructions in the text message you have received from us (such as by replying “STOP”) or by otherwise contacting us.
Mobile Devices. We may send you push notifications through our mobile application. You may opt out from receiving these push notifications by changing the settings on your mobile device. With your consent, we may also collect precise location-based information via our mobile application. You may opt out of this collection by changing the settings on your mobile device.
“Do Not Track.” Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. Please note that we do not respond to or honor DNT signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.
Cookies and Interest-Based Advertising. You may stop or restrict the placement of Technologies on your device or remove them by adjusting your preferences as your browser or device permits. However, if you adjust your preferences, our Services may not work properly. Please note that cookie-based opt-outs are not effective on mobile applications. However, you may opt-out of personalized advertisements on some mobile applications by following the instructions for Android, iOS and others.
The online advertising industry also provides websites from which you may opt out of receiving targeted ads from data partners and other advertising partners that participate in self-regulatory programs. Please refer to the “What Rights Apply” section to determine the rights you have in the jurisdiction you reside. Your rights in relation to your personal information are not absolute. Depending upon the applicable law, access to your rights under the applicable law may be denied: (i) when denial of the request is required or authorized by law; (ii) when granting the request would have a negative impact on another’s privacy; (iii) to protect our rights and properties; (iv) where the request is frivolous or vexatious, or for other reasons.
Right to Know/Access. You may have the right to obtain a copy, or a list of categories of the personal information that we hold about you, as well as other supplementary information.
Right to Correct. You may have the right to rectify, correct or update any of your personal information held by us that is inaccurate.
Right to Delete. Under certain circumstances, you may have the right to request that we delete the personal information that we hold about you. No decision will be made by us about you solely on the basis of automated decision making which has a significant impact on you.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale. You may have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. Like many businesses, we use cookies, pixels, and similar technology on our Websites and Apps, and we share certain personal information, such as your email address, phone number, IP address or device identifiers, to third-party advertisers to improve your user experience and to optimize our marketing activities. Under the broad definition of “sell” contained in some jurisdictions’ privacy laws, this could be considered a sale.
Right to Opt-Out of Sharing for Targeted Advertising. You may have the right to opt-out of the sharing of your personal information to third parties for behavioral or cross-contextual advertising purposes. Like many websites, we use cookies, pixels, and similar technology, and we share certain information, such as your email address, phone number, IP address or device identifiers, to certain third-party advertisers to improve your user experience and to optimize our marketing activities. Request Cadence: Please note that depending on your state of residence, applicable law may limit how many times per year you may submit a Right to Know/Access. We may charge a reasonable fee for multiple requests in the same 12-month period, as permitted by law.
Identity Verification: To protect your privacy, we must be able to verify your identity to confirm that the request came from you before we can process your request to exercise certain privacy rights that you may be entitled to under the applicable law. We may contact you by phone or e-mail to verify your identity. Depending on your request, we will ask for information such as your name, address, an e-mail address or a phone number you have used with us. For certain requests, we may also ask you to provide details about your most recent purchases.
Authorized Agents: In certain states you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf to access or delete your personal information. To do so, you must: (1) provide that authorized agent written and signed permission to submit such request; and (2) verify your own identity directly with us. Please note, we may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf.
